Ideas that change the world...
Did you know that Facebook started as a simple way to help college friends interact with each other and stay in touch? From that small idea a real and lasting web business with over 350 million users was started. The web allows free thinking and originality to run riot - ideas can be born, shared, changed, and re-born at a speed and scale not possible in the offline world.
The web makes people laugh, it levels the playing field, it gives people access to knowledge, opportunities and entertainment and has the potential to effect real and lasting change. All of these possibilities come from ideas on how to present information, how to reach people, how to engage them, how to capture their imagination and how to inspire interaction.

The closing date for entries is 30th April, 2010. The winner will be notified on 31st May 2010 and work will begin to bring the idea to life in June 2010.
How we'll make the decision...
Your entry will be judged against the following criteria:
- Innovation

The winning idea needs to break new ground. It should be innovative, original and ahead of the times and must exceed people's expectations of what is possible.
- Value

Your idea must provide a service that is valuable to people. It should solve a problem or make someones life easier, or just a little bit better.
- Engagement

It's only through engaging with people that ideas grow. People delight in many different things; a neat idea, a tool that helps them complete a task or keep in touch with a friend, or just something that makes them smile.
- Realism
-
Boring we know but...we're looking for an idea we can realistically build in a few months so your idea must be realistic in the amount of outside support it requires.
- Originality
-
The idea needs to be fresh and original. We not looking to copy something that's already been done.
